Area 16 Challenge ShowCross Qualifiers

Area 16 Show Cross Qualifier 18th March at Osberton for HDRC members.

A qualifier for Festival of the Horse Championships to be held on 19-20 May 2018

This competition is for individuals and teams. The club will put you in teams. When you are part of a team your score will also count as an individual score too.

This competition is designed to be a test of a horse and rider’s ability to negotiate a show jumping course together with a cross-country course.

The challenge consists of 7 to 10 show jumps, followed by 15 to 25 cross-country efforts.

There are six challenge classes:
• Senior 100
• Junior 100
• Senior 90
• Junior 90
• Senior 80
• Junior 80

**Flu Vaccination Certificates** All competing horses and ponies must have an up to date full flu vaccination certificate. If your flu vaccination does not comply, or you do not bring the complete record with
you, you will be eliminated. Please send your vaccination details for checking to Sharon sharon.lw@hotmail.co.uk

**Hat Tagging and Body Protectors**
All members are now required to have their hats tagged before competing in any BRC qualifier or championship this year. For acceptable specifications, check the Hat Standards Guidelines.
All competitors in BRC XC phases must now wear a BETA Level 3 (Purple Label) Body Protector manufactured in the year 2009 or after. Further information on permitted body protectors can be found in our ‘Need to know’ section at the bottom of our website.

For eligibility please read below:

80: rider not to have completed a BE100, BRC HT 100 or CH 100 or above in the current competition year at close of prelim entry. Riders may not compete at 100 or above in the same qualifier or championship. May be registered with BE but must not have BE points. Not to have been placed in the top 6 at a BE90 or to have completed a BE100 or above in the current or previous calendar year.

90: horses must have no more than 1 BE point. Horses may not have competed at BRC CH100 or HT100 in the same competition year. Horses may be BE registered but must not have been placed in the top 6 at any BE100 competition in the current or previous calendar year.

100: horses must not have more than 20 BE points
